Personal Umbrella Coverage
We live in a society where,
when something goes wrong, we automatically look for someone else to blame.
Don't ever underestimate your ability to be sued! There are people out there who live to sue others! It is our opinion that our legal system is out
of control and you must protect yourself. Courts and juries are awarding huge judgments you can’t possibly afford to pay without liquidating everything
you own. You can’t afford NOT to have a personal umbrella liability policy providing at least a minimum of $1,000,000 coverage over your home, auto, boat,
vacation home or business.
Are you a potential target for a million dollar lawsuit? Of course you are!
- Do you own a home?
- Do you own a secondary, rental or vacation home?
- Do you have a swimming pool?
- Do you own more than one vehicle or perhaps a luxury vehicle?
- Do you own a sailboat or power boat?
- Do you own a dog?
- Do you own a trampoline?
- Do you have above-average income?
Did you know that…
- You don't have to be a millionaire to be sued.
- Juries don't seem to care if you can pay when they award a million dollar judgment.
- Even if you didn't do anything wrong; you may still be forced to pay a judgment.
- After losing everything you own, you may still be liable to pay more out of future earnings.
By the way, the Homestead Act doesn't prevent a lawsuit and certainly won't resolve the problem either. People tell us they don't need liability insurance
because they are protected under the Homestead Act. Not only is that a completely foolish statement; it is so NOT true. Please understand that protecting
one's residence by filing under the Homestead Act (Mass General Law 188) is a smart thing to do, however, it shouldn't be done to avoid having liability
insurance, but in conjunction with having adequate limits of liability insurance.
We can provide limits up to $5,000,000. If all household members have a clear driving record and have been driving for a minimum of six (6) years,
we can offer a $1,000,000 umbrella for as little as $120 per year for the typical consumer with a home and two vehicles.
If you haven’t priced an attorney lately, you may be in for a really big shock. The hourly rate for such a professional is far greater than the annual
premium for the umbrella policy. Call us for complete information about this important coverage.
